Below is the standard five-step operating procedure, drawn from our engineering team’s commissioning experience.

Step 1: Power and Air Source Setup

1. Turn on the main power switch and the air source switch
2. Connect the two intake ports of the vacuum pump to the two ends of the seed drum (or use single-end intake depending on your configuration) and plug in the power

Step 2: Drum Seeding Adjustment

1. Load seeds into the hopper
2. Set the drum start switch to the OFF position
3. Press and hold the drum jog switch until the drum surface is fully covered with seeds

Do not change the drum speed setting on the display. Adjust only the belt speed knob so the drum rotation and tray travel stay synchronized:

1. After every power restart, the drum start switch must be cycled OFF → ON, otherwise the drum will not rotate

4. The four corners of the drum frame have height adjustment screws. The drum’s lowest point (seed-release position) should sit approximately 10mm above the tray surface. Too high → inaccurate seed placement. Too low → substrate sticks to the suction heads
5. Speed coordination: soil-filling speed < drum-seeding speed < soil-covering speed. Each module should be slightly faster than the previous one to prevent tray pileup
