The classification of drip irrigation

After the seedlings are transplanted by transplanting machine, you should strength the seedling management, of which the most important management is irrigation. Now, let’s share the classification of drip irrigation for you.

Drip irrigation systems can be divided into the following two types according to the way the capillary tubes are arranged in the field.

Soil surface fixed drip irrigation

The capillaries are arranged on the ground, and the capillaries and the irrigators do not move during the irrigation. Most people prefer to this type. It is used in the irrigation of orchards and greenhouses etc. Irrigation devices include various drippers and drip irrigation pipes and belts. The advantage of this system is that it is easy to install and maintain, and it is also easy to check the soil moisture and measure the changes in the dripper’s flow rate. The disadvantage is that the capillary and the irrigation device are easy to damage and age.

Underground fixed drip irrigation

In this system, the capillary tube and the irrigator are completely buried in the ground. This is a continuous improvement of drip irrigation technology in recent years, and the irrigator has been reduced. Compared with the ground fixed system, its advantages are that you do not need to install and remove the capillary when planting and harvesting. Besides, it prolongs the service life of the equipment. The disadvantage is that it is not possible to check soil moisture and measure changes in dripper flow, and it is difficult to maintain.

The application of drip irrigation

The fixed drip irrigation system means that the entire pipe network will not move after it is installed, and it is suitable for crops such as fruit trees, grapes, fruits and vegetables.

The semi-fixed drip irrigation system has fixed dry and branch pipes. Only the capillary tubes in the field are moved. One capillary tube can control several rows of crops. When irrigation, after one row is filled, it can be moved to another row for irrigation. This can increase the utilization of capillaries and reduce equipment investment, and it is suitable for wide rows of vegetables and fruits.

Precautions

1. Drip irrigation pipes and drippers are easy to be blocked and have high requirements on water quality, so filters must be installed.

2. The investment in drip irrigation is high, and the economic benefits of crops must be considered.

3.Drip irrigation is not suitable for the freezing period.
